Ford Kuga - ‘08 Geneva Preview

Well, it seems like Ford is very determined to “monopolise” all car classes and they plan to do it at the Geneva Motor Show. After the Fiesta Concept and the 2009 Mondeo, they announced the Kuga Concept, the first CUV destined for European Market.

The Kuga has a platform similar with the ones of the C-Max and Euro-Focus; the engine is a 2.0-liter Duratorq TDCi common rail diesel which produces 136 HP and 236 lb-ft of torque. The standard version offers to its buyers ABS, Anti Rollover Mitigation, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and ESP.

As we told, the Kuga CUV Concept will be present at Geneva, but until then you can check the gallery below and be sure that we will give more pics in a few days from the auto show.

2009 Ford Mondeo - ‘08 Geneva Preview

After the official announcement of Fiesta, Ford will unveil a special new diesel engine at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show. The 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine will be fitted onto the 2009 Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy-van - the powertrain will produce 175 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque. Ford also prepared a new package called Galaxy Titanium for Mondeo and S-Max which includes features like 17-inch five-spoke wheels and a sport suspension among others.

Ford Verve/Fiesta Concept - ‘08 Geneva Preview

For today we have prepared some news about Ford and to be more specific, about the Verve Concept. The production version of the Verve Concept will be called the Fiesta all around the world and it will be a four-door sedan, not a three-door hatchback.

It seems like a major changing, but these seem to be only things they will not keep for the final version. The Vervce Concept had its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year in September and now the Fiesta will be present at the Geneva Motor Show in a week-time.

This model is ideal for crowded cities cause it’s a small car and it should fit well with every drivers.

Ford To Unveil The New Focus CC At The Geneva Motor Show 2008

Ford of Europe is geting ready to unveil its new Focus Coupé-Cabriolet, at the Geneva Motor Show, next month. The hard-top convertible Ford Focus won’t be availabe in the US. The Focus CC is joining the European Focus family alongside the new ST and the upcoming RS.
The new Ford Focus CC is built by Pininfarina in Bairo, Italy, like the previous model. The Focus Coupé-Cabriolet can be equiped with three engine option and three trim levels: a 1.6-liter/100-hp and 2-liter 145-hp Duratec gasoline fours, and the 2-liter Duratorq turbodiesel with 136 hp, in either Trend, Sport or Titanium spec. Its stiff body is made to maintain handling integrity better then its competition: the Peugeot 308 CC and Volkswagen Eos.

The Concept Of The New Ford Focus RS Expected At London Motor Show

Ford is working on its new Focus RS, and they want it to reach a top speed of 155mph. They want it to be ready for sales for the begining of 2009, and they’ve priced it at around £25,000, so the RS will abase the Volkswagen Golf R32. The new RS incorporates the updates made to the basic 2008 focus, and it is maid for people who liked the previous model. A concept of the new Focus RS will be unveild at the London motor show.

Ford used on this car a 20-valve, 2.5-litre, five-cylinder turbo engine which is also used on the Focus ST, but they’ve modified the electronics and replaced the pistons, cams and valve springs, they’ve put on a bigger turbo and a larger intercooler. By modifying this parts they made the engine produce 280bhp from 222bhp. As we said Ford are trying to make the car reach 155mph and they also expect that the car will go from 0-60mph in under 6 seconds. The new Focus RS won’t have a four-wheel drive, because the engineers say that the four-wheel system will add 150kg to the car. Ford doesn’t know if the car will have the six-speed PowerShift gearbox.
With all of this said we can’t wait to see the concept at the London motor show in July, and even more we can’t wait to see it on the market.

Revealed : 2009 Ford F-150

It’s the best selling full size pick up and it’s getting a total redesign for 2009. Ford will unveil it’s newly designed F-150 at the Detroit show this week. Improvements are found on every level with a more commanding front end, more ridged body, better fuel efficiency, andmore luxurious interior details. Ford promises a truck for everone with over 35 different configurations including the ‘Platinum’ edition which includes many exterior and interior refinements in materials and finishes. 20″ wheels are now standard and the customizer in us digs that over 13 different wheel styles will be available to choose from.

Other notable features: Ford’s proprietary Sync voice-activated communications system, Sirius real time traffic stats, and a Sony 5.1 Surround audio system topping 700 watts of output.

The Ford truck team adopted a holistic, 360-degree approach to revamping the new 2009 F-150 – from its segment-first features to the tough new exterior highlighted by a dramatic three-bar grille and more spacious, flexible and refined interior, to the unparalleled choice of cab styles and trim levels – including a new Platinum series that redefines truck luxury.

Ford GTX1 production comes to an end

Gennadi Dedign Group has announced that the end draws nigh for the company's limited-run Ford GT roadster conversion, the GTX1. Over two years of production, the plan was to make 600 total cars available. 100 would be SEMA Edition replicas of the Valencia Orange show car shown above and in the attached gallery. The other 500 would be regular customer cars. According to Gennadi, only 100 cars or so have been ordered and completed, and whatever the number stands at when orders are officially ended on August 31, 2008 will be the final production run. The SEMA editions, in addition to the roof conversion, also received a host of additional upgrades including racing seats, adjustable shocks, Wilwood brakes, a power boost to 700 horses, a hidden rear bumper, and other some interior tweaks, too. Incidentally, we recently saw one of the finished customer cars (it sported the Tungsten paint job) in Greenwich, CT not long ago. With the roof in place, it can easily be mistaken for a "garden variety" GT -- which we would have done if not for the GTX1 labeling aft of the front wheel. Little did we know that it was one of a much smaller group than Gennadi probably anticipated building. If you've got a Ford GT and a hankering for an arier experience, you've got until August to let Gennadi have its way with it.

Four-door, Notchback Ford Verve Concept Unveiled in Guangzhou

Today, at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, Ford revealed a four-door, notchback Verve concept and it looks great. It’s back seems to be inspired from the Ford Mondeo, that’s also a lovely car and at least it looks better than the 4-door Mazda 2 also presented today. But Ford isn’t stopping here, as they announced to unveil a new Verve concept at the Detroit Auto Show, in January 2008.

For Europeans and Asiatics, now those Verve concepts represent Ford’s best cars, especially on the design part, following Mondeo’s success. Phil Spender, Chief Operation Officer of Ford Motor stated that the cars will be designed in Europe, engineered in Germany and manufactured world wide. This make me, at least, be confident they will produce good looking cars, very reliable and affordable. But what would you want more than that ?

Ford Mondeo Review

The new Ford Mondeo is the ideal family car, that offers comfort at any speeds, especially due to the IVDC ( Interactive Vehicle Dynamics Control ) electronic dampers and it’s excellent suspension, that keeps you safe on the road. It’s weight of 1,615kg won’t feel in the steering, that is both light and very accurate, without causing any problems.

It’s interior is very spacious and comfortable, with a nice futuristic design. Anyway, not everything is perfect, like the hard-to-read speedo increments, the bad organised console or the seat that won’t go low enough.

As any car, it has both good and bad parts, but those bad are not big issues, which makes it a great family car, better than most of it’s class.
